Not Sick Anymore
Dear Everyone,
Here is a quick and rather un-entertaining note to tell you all that I'm not sick anymore. I had a fever for about a week, lost my appetite, and felt weak for about three days after, but then I finally got better. Thank you all for remembering me.Right now I'm in Budapest with my good friends JM and Abby and my favourite girl, Katie. I travelled from faizabad down to taloqan, and then to Kabul for a few days before flying out two days ago to Istanbul. I had an interesting time there for a night (more about that later) and flew into Budapest today. I'm here for two weeks. this is exactly the rest I need. Thank you to uptown and all the rest of you who made this possible. I hadn't noticed but I had really gotten to the end of my rope towards the end there. the sickness was a big part of it, and I was losing weight, which for me is a bit of a problem since I don't have much weight to begin with.
I am incredibly happy here with my friends and especially with Katie here in this lovely city. Remember faizabad please, this will be a bumpy time for them right now. Sue is on her own for a week now, with Joyce in Kabul for a while and me here.
Again to all you who have given much, may heaven reward you. The gift of this rest is more than I can express.I promise I'll write more and funnier later.
Peace and good cheer to all.
