Like Rocky, Rambo, and Indy: Doing it Again

So yes, we're off again, this time back to where it all began for me: Afghanistan. The lead time for us with this has been about a month, but for you it's right now. I'm writing this from the airport. Vancouver to Toronto, Toronto to Dubai, Dubai to Kabul.

We're going with Tearfund, and it's only for two months. Fill-in work, really, while they recruit someone more permanent. We'll be working on water, sanitation, basic health, and disaster mitigation projects in north central Afghanistan, near Mazar-i-Sharif - if you want to look it up on a map.

After that - and this is the really exciting part for us - we're jumping over to Pakistan to visit Esti's family. She's going for two weeks and I'll join her for the second week. Then back to our Canadian home again at the end of May.

For good.
